STOP Assault On Personal Laws: SDPI Holds Massive Agitations in Capital Cities of India
12 February 2018, New Delhi: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has declared launched a countrywide campaign against the desperate attempts by the Modi led BJP Government at the Centre to pass the Talaq Bill in Rajya Sabha. As per a press statement which was released by the party, it is organizing agitations, seminars, poster/flyer campaign, etc. in order to make the people aware of the sinister move by the Sangh Parivar led BJP’s ill intention with regards to the Talaq Bill which has already been passed by in the Lok Sabha with mild opposition from Congress.
Here are a few glimpses of some of the agitations being conducted by the party in different parts of the country.
A massive protest demonstration was held at Meerut Collectorate which was led by UP State president Mohammed Kamil and participated by state general secretary Faran Ali, advocate Sanjay Jackson All India Imams Council West UP President Shadab Aziz Qasmi, state executive member Qamar Majahiri, Hapur district president Noorhasan Chau, Nadeem Ahmed, Jameel Chaudhary, Ata Muhammad, Shahid Hassan, Muzaffar Nagar District Secretary Alimuddin, Muhammad Shahzad, State Treasurer, Mohammed Furqan Nadvi etc.
Tamil Nadu State President Dehlan Baqavi led a massive agitation as part of the party’s national campaign ‘STOP Assault On Personal Laws’ in Chennai.
Hundreds of women too had registered their participation in the agitation.
