Heartfelt Condolence on the Demise of A Sayeed
New Delhi 02 April 2019: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) expresses grief over the demise of party’s one of the tallest leaders A Sayeed, who passed away at 5PM on 02 April 2019 while undergoing treatment for Cancer at a hospital near Calicut. All the cadres, leaders, members and well-wishers of SDPI do hereby convey their heartfelt condolences to the family and relatives of late A Sayeed Sahab and supplicate that may The Almighty pardon the deceased and accept all his good deeds and services he rendered in his life.
SDPI National President M.K Faizy said, we are honored and blessed to learn immense under the leadership of A Sayeed Sahab. While expressing his condolences on his death, SDPI President MK Faizy said, A Sayeed Sahab’s demise is a great loss to the country.
About A Sayeed:
Born at Edavanana in Malappuram district in 1955 to well-known Islamic Scholar A Alavi Moulavi, educated at GMUP School Edavanana, IOHS Edavanna and MES College Mampad, he was a renowned scholar and writer. He retired as Public Relations Inspector from Manjeri Head Post Office. He was the Chairman of National Development Front (NDF) from 2002 to 2006. He had also served as National Executive Council Member of Popular Front of India, President of Muslim Relief Network and Director of Intermedia Publishing Limited. He authored a number of books on Islamic topics in Malayalam.
A Sayeed was one among the pioneers who led several socio-political movements in to the length and breadth of the country. He had been a thinker and a leader. His contributions to the society in terms of social services are enormous. A Sayeed had created an impression of his leadership in the hearts of millions of Indians across the country.
The funeral is scheduled on 3 April 2019 (Wednesday) at 10AM at Edavanna Juma Masjid.
