Ram Temple Fund Collection Intended to Polarise the Society

The nation-wide fund collection drive launched by Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya has turned out to be another tool in the hands of the Sangh Parivar fascists to terrorise and intimidate Muslims, and intensify the communal polarisation for the cheap political gains of BJP. Crores of rupees and gold had been collected earlier for the temple construction, and the present drive is a nasty campaign to undermine the communal harmony in the country. The recent violence in Madhya Pradesh by the goons of the saffron brigade who participated in the bike rallies conducted for fund collection, raising provocative slogans testifies the malicious intention of the fund collection drive. Properties and houses of Muslims were vandalised, and cash and jewellery were looted in broad daylight by them.The land where the Ram temple is being constructed is the land of Waqf Board and it was unjustifiably handed over by the Supreme Court to a Trust formed by the Central Government to construct the temple. Construction of the temple in that land is uncalled for and unwelcome.Social Democratic Party of India strongly denounces the use of fund collection drive to polarise the society and intimidate Muslims; and demands the Temple Trust to abandon violence and extortion of money in the name of temple construction, and to maintain peace and harmony in the country. It’s also disgusting that the Congress Party which is self claiming secular party is collecting funds for Ram temple and hand in gloves with RSS agenda.
