Jaipur, 10 December, 2022: The two-day National Working Committee meeting of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) began in Jaipur on Saturday, 10 December, 2022 with the inaugural speech of SDPI national president M.K. Faizy. Recalling the recent crises the party has faced, Faizy hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party of which SDPI is counted an enemy because “It has spoken against the BJP.” Taking a dig at the incumbent regime, he said that while people who have been silent are put in jails under false charges, SDPI has at least a real committed the crime of speaking against the BJP. But it will continue to speak the truth, he asserted.
BM Kamble, national vice president, SDPI delivered a speech on caste politics from a historic perspective, dwelling on the casteistic evolution of Indian politics. He said politics is about power management which in India is based on caste calculation. The latter can be understood through social management which has been cleverly planned by the ruling elites of both the Congress and BJP from the beginning. “Indian politics cannot be understood without understanding the caste hierarchy and how it has been managed,” he said.
Earlier, the meeting began with the introductory remarks of Mohammad Shafi, National Vice President of SDPI. Elyas Mohammad Thumbe and Abdul Majeed Faizy, National General Secretaries of SDPI presented reports and future agenda of next 10 years during different sessions.
