The Social Democratic Party of India expresses its profound condemnation of the recent Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, which have resulted in significant loss of life and widespread destruction. These actions have shattered a fragile ceasefire and exacerbated the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.

According to reports, Israeli airstrikes across Gaza have killed over 400 Palestinians, including many women and children, and have left more than 560 individuals injured. The attacks have targeted several areas, including Jabalia, Beit Hanoun, Gaza City, Nuseirat, Deir el-Balah, Khan Younis, and Rafah, with some strikes hitting zones previously designated as safe humanitarian areas. This escalation has further strained Gaza’s already overwhelmed healthcare infrastructure, with hospitals struggling to manage the influx of casualties.

The recent offensive marks a severe breach of the ceasefire agreement established on January 19, 2025. Despite the agreement, there have been numerous violations leading up to this escalation, undermining efforts toward a lasting peace.

We call upon the international community to:

1. Unequivocally Condemn the Attacks – World leaders must denounce this brutal escalation and hold those responsible accountable for violations of international law.

2. Provide Immediate Humanitarian Assistance – Urgent aid is needed to address the critical shortages of food, water, and medical supplies in Gaza.

3. Facilitate Dialogue for Peace – Renewed diplomatic efforts are essential to broker a sustainable ceasefire and address the underlying causes of the conflict.

The Social Democratic Party of India stands in solidarity with the people of Palestine during this tragic time. We reaffirm our commitment to advocating for their rights, dignity, and protection against aggression and injustice.
