SUPREME COURT JUDGEMENT GEARS UP AGENDA TO ELIMINATE BACKWARD CLASSES FROM GOVT SERVICES: SDPI

Ensuring adequate representation to disadvantaged sections is a state obligation. Unfortunately the apex court verdict helps the state to deny reservation to backward communities. Such moves are inappropriate from the Supreme Court which is the last resort of hope in a democracy.  The reservation to weaker sections is a fundamental right of the historically backwards classes as per provisions of the constitution.  When conspiracies and conscious efforts are coming out in series to rob reservation from SC, ST and OBCs and keep away Dalits and Muslims from top executive positions, the apex court should not have taken such stand that sabotages reservation, he said. M K Faizy urged the SC, ST, OBC communities to continue their fights to save their constitutional rights that are under threats from all sides.
