One and half years have elapsed since the ethnic violence in Manipur erupted. No effective steps either from the state government or the union government could be seen to end the atrocities that have claimed hundreds of valuable human lives and destroyed properties worth crores, in the state. Now, the allies of the BJP also have come forward seeking an end to the ethnic violence initiated with the help of the Sangh Parivar.Though changing the CM, as demanded by the Mizo National Front, a partner of the BJP front, alone wouldn’t resolve the issue, it would be a good start in the path of ending the violence in the state.
