How Many More Students Must Die? SCRAP NEET

The tragic deaths of several NEET aspirants following the cancellation of NEET-UG 2026 due to the question paper leak are a painful reminder of the human cost of a deeply flawed examination system. These young students were carrying not only their own dreams but also the hopes and sacrifices of their families. The uncertainty, mental trauma, and loss of confidence caused by repeated irregularities have pushed many to despair.

For years, SDPI has opposed NEET as an unjust and exclusionary system that disadvantages poor, rural, and marginalized students while strengthening the coaching industry. The latest crisis once again exposes its failure. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and reiterate the demand to abolish NEET and replace it with a fair, transparent, and inclusive admission process that safeguards both merit and the mental well-being of students.
