An SDPI Jharkhand delegation comprising senior party leaders visited Badgaon village under Tandwa Police Station in Chatra district on 7 August 2026 to meet the family of Mohammad Imroz Ansari, who was allegedly killed in a mob lynching. The delegation was led by State General Secretary Tahmeedur Rahman and included Organisation General Secretary Shamim Akhtar, Sohel Khan, and Salman Khan. The leaders expressed condolences, interacted with the bereaved family and people at the protest site, and reviewed the circumstances surrounding the incident. Condemning the incident, the delegation emphasized that any allegations must be addressed strictly through the legal process. It demanded a fair, impartial, and transparent investigation, the immediate arrest of all accused, and stringent legal action against those responsible. The party also announced that a detailed report on the visit would be released through a press conference and assured the victim’s family of all possible assistance.
