SDPI extends financial aid to the ailing BSF soldier; Appeals the State Government for immediate compensation

13 May 2016: A BSF (Border Security Force) jawan Krishna Nayak has been suffering from serious health disorder as he lost both legs and undergoing treatment at Bangalore’s Hanumantanagar Meenakshi Hospital. SDPI condemned the negligence of Union and the State Government towards the jawan who spent a major part of his life serving at India-Kashmir border.

He has already spent about 4.5 lakhs and is in severe tenseness, for the jawan is not able to meet financial requirements for further treatment. SDPI Karnataka office bearers paid a visit to the ailing soldier and handed over an immediate monetary assistance.

While talking to the press persons, SDPI State Secretary Afsar Kodlipet expressed anguish towards the negligence of the State Govt. towards the appeals made by the sick soldier. Afsar said, Krishna Nayak has spent his 14 years in service of the nation and it is a pity that the government has turned a deaf ear towards his appeals for treatment. He said that the Party owes to take up the soldier’s issue to ensure adequate compensation to the BSF jawan.

B’lore District President Fayaz Ahmed, Gen Secretary Mohammed Sharif and Secretary Waseem Ahmed were accompanied by Afsar Kodlipet.
