Puttur: Social Democratic Party of India and Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samithi Puttur jointly conducted a protest here in front of Sampya police station demanding suspension of sub inspector of Sampya police station Jagadish Reddy for his anti dalith sentiments.
Speaking on the occasion SDPI Taluk president Abubakkar Siddiq said that Sub Inspector Jagadish Reddy has shown anti dalit sentiment by not registering complaint by dalit leader Kusappa when he complained against Ramesh who threatened him with life.
He said the sub inspector had stood by the accused instead of giving security for Kusappa.
Local convenor of Dalit Sangarsha Samithi Anand Mittabail warned fierce protest if the government failed to suspend Jagadish Reddy for his anti dalit sentiment.
Popular Front district president Shafi Bellare, District Dalit Sangarsha Samith convenor M.Kusappa spoke at the program. Anwar Sadath, DSS leaders Harish, Ganesh, SDPI leaders Abdul Rahiman, Muhammad were present at the program.
Leader of SDPI Sulya M.Rafiq coordinated the program.
