Pakur Zilla Parishad Seat No 8 won by Maulana Hanjela Sheikh by a majority of 7178 votes. Hanjela managed to get 10561 votes while the defeated candidate got only 3383 votes. Hanjela is also a member of the SDPI State Adhoc Committee.

Furthermore, SDPI candidates were elected to four block panchayat committees and one grama panchayat ward. There is hope for victory in few other seats as well.
