Mohammad Shafi, the National Vice President of SDPI stated that the greatest crisis that the country faces is political slavery, and no parties are able to confront it. He was inaugurating the SDPI Kerala 6th State Representative Council (SRC), at Kozhikode. Both the ruling and opposition parties fail to address the severe issues of the people. The union government is trying to safeguard the interests of the corporates, the minuscule minority in the country. The government is not interested in issues like unemployment, price rise, poverty, malnutrition, delays in university examinations, etc. The majority of the people are suffering from the ravages of the BJP government. The BJP government at the centre is trying to overcome the hunger with hate and hatred. The opposition has no guts to react to the anti-people stand of the union government nor to stand with the people. The situation appears to be that there is no strong opposition in the country.
The Christian community in Manipur has been the victim of brutal atrocities for the past one and a half years. The situation has aggravated in recent days. Even the house of the CM’s relative was attacked. The authorities haven’t been able to control the perpetrators or to end the violence. The legacy and the unity in diversity in the country are totally destroyed under the fascist rule. The country is passing through a very pathetic political situation of the governing system being subservient to RSS. Society should recognise that if people remain inactive when a group is attacked, the perpetrators will turn towards them, too.
Pinarayi Vijayan has made Keralam a fertile soil for the RSS, similar to the Congress prime minister PV Narasimha helping the RSS to demolish the Babri Masjid. SDPI is committed to realising the welfare state that our architects of the nation and the freedom fighters had dreamt, said Shafi.
The SRC began at 09:30 am on Tuesday, the 19thof November 2024, with the state president Muvattupuzha Ashraf Moulavi hoisting the flag at the Aspin Courtyard premises at Kozhikode Beach. He presided over the SRC. National General Secretaries P. Abdul Majeed Faisy and Elyas Mohammad Thumbe, National Secretary Faisal Izzuddin, National Secretariat members CP Abdul Latheef and Dahlan Baqavi, NWC member Saheer Abbas and state functionaries also were present.
