No Community Should Be Targeted in the Name of Security

SDPI Gujarat expresses serious concern over any provision that may single out or target a particular community in the purported document relating to the Anti-Radicalisation Cell established by the Gujarat State Intelligence Bureau, if the document circulating on social media is authentic and official.

SDPI Gujarat recognises the State’s constitutional responsibility to maintain peace, security, and law and order, and supports all lawful, impartial, and effective measures to combat terrorism and safeguard public safety. However, such measures must never compromise the fundamental principles of equality, justice, and non-discrimination.

All laws and security measures must be enforced fairly and uniformly for every citizen, without prejudice or bias, in full conformity with the Constitution and the rule of law.
