The National Working Committee meeting of Social Democratic Party of India was held on 6 & 7 July 2026 at Mysore presided by National President M.K Faizy. The meeting discussed current political situation in the country, upcoming elections, party programs and activities. The resolution passed in the meeting is furnished below.

Resolution No. 1

SDPI seriously consider the implications of politically motivated and electoral oriented process of SIR under the experiment results of Bihar and West Bengal. The SIR unilaterally imposed in the country is considered a step ahead of divisive delimitation paving way to ‘One Nation One Election’ dream of anti-democratic concepts.

Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is part of a systematic exclusion of Indian citizens from their franchise. More than two crore voters have reportedly been disenfranchised, the majority of whom are migrant labourers, poor people, and other marginalized sections of society. The manner and procedure adopted by the Election Commission of India (ECI) in implementing the SIR are inconsistent with the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution of India.

The National Working Committee of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) resolves that all eligible citizens excluded during the SIR exercise should be re-enrolled in the electoral rolls. It further demands that the Election Commission of India withdraw the ongoing SIR exercise.
