Pune, 29 May 2016: Pune witnessed a strong-growing campaign jointly organized be several Hindu organizations condemning the controversial law by the state legislature house banning the slaughter of cows “Govansh Hatya Bandi Kayde”.
The protest demonstration and public meet was jointly organized by Shetkari Sanghatna, Sambhaji Brigade, Social Democratic Party of India, AAP, Maratha Seva Sangh, Chava Sanghatna, AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) and Popular Front.
Modi Government has been termed as “Dushkal Tourism” and “Selfie Photo Session”, whereas the Congress – NCP – BJP have been slammed over their indulgence over politics neglecting the suicide of poor innumerable farmers in the state. The leaders of various Hindu organizations demanded from the state government that the controversial cow slaughter law be revoked forthwith within a fortnight else bandh would be observed across Maharashtra.
The delegation, while concluding the public meet handed over two Cows to the District Collector, one to be contributed to the Prime Minister Modi and the other to the Chief Minister Fadnavis and reasoned that while the farmers are struggling to feed themselves 2-times a day, feeding the cows is highly unmanageable.
The prominent leaders of the organizations were, Farmers leader Dr Raghunath Patil, National Vice President SDPI Advocate Sharfuddin Ahmad.
