The Social Democratic Party of India organised a Contemporary Political Dialogue on 9 August 2026 at the Photo Journalists Association Hall in Panaji, Goa. The programme brought together invited participants for discussions on contemporary political and social issues affecting the people of Goa. The discussions also focused on strengthening the Party’s grassroots presence and expanding its engagement with people across the state.

SDPI National Secretary Alfonse Franco welcomed the gathering, while National General Secretaries Elyas Thumbe and Riyaz Farangipete addressed the programme on contemporary political developments and the need for organised political work in Goa. As part of the organisational process, a seven member Organising Committee comprising one Convener and six Joint Conveners was constituted to coordinate and strengthen the Party’s activities in the state. The programme concluded with a commitment to deepen engagement with the people and build a stronger grassroots organisational presence in Goa.
