Sanganer (Jaipur), 12 December, 2022: Coming heavily on the illogical route map of Bharat Jodo Yatra spearheaded by senior Congress leader and former INC president Rahul Gandhi, the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) launched a scathing attack on the Congress for his failed roadshow. In a public meeting at Sanganer, about 14 kms away from Jaipur, state capital of the Congress-ruled Rajasthan, SDPI’s national president, M. K. Faizy questioned Rahul Gandhi’s intentions for not taking his yatra to Gujarat during the heydays of election campaigns stating that Mr Gandhi’s Gujarat visit would have impacted the outcome of the election but his avoidance clearly shows the hollowness of his claim to fight against the fascist BJP.

In fact, the so-called secular Congress has no different agenda than to just occupy power and it does not at all care about the real issues and crises that the country is faced with. Faizy said that there is nothing to be sold out now except the Parliament and the Prime Minister himself because most national assets, as we know, have already been sold to the friendly corporate houses.

He was seconded by Mohammad Rizwan Khan, Rajasthan state president of SDPI who further questioned the Congress Parliamentarian’s objective of the roadshow, because Mr Gandhi began his yatra from his home constituency where BJP does not have any elected legislator. He avoids going to BJP-ruled states because he is “afraid of the its IT cell.”Earlier, Mohammad Shafi, national vice president of SDPI likened the Congress with the BJP stating that what the BJP does in other states, Congress does in the states where it has its own government. He cited a number of examples where no action was taken against the Congress MLAs for their atrocities and selective treatment of minorities and downtrodden people.

BM Kamble, another national vice president of SDPI said that though people have a right under Article 19 to criticise the prime minister but the situation is so scary that not even the courts can speak against the PM. How can then common people speak against the government?, he asked.Senior office bearers of Women India Movement Yasmin Farouqui, Afshan Aziz, Mehrunnisa Khan and others also spoke. Ram Gopal Suman, a former senior leader of Jat Maha Sabha and noted Kumawat leader Om Prakash Kumawat joined the SDPI and they were warmly welcomed with garlands by Faizy and Shafi respectiveCongress
