Amidst the BJP and its ideological think tank RSS questioning the loyalty and patriotism of minorities and Opposition groups to the country every now and then, startling revelations are being made about their sister organizations Bajrang Dal’s and Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s close links to terrorism and anti-national activities.

Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has expressed deep concerns about these outfits’ involvement in anti-State activities and demanded the Union Government to “monitor their activities closely”. The views were expressed by Adv. Sharfuddin Ahmad, national vice president of SDPI. He said that the arrest of Pradeep Kurulkar and the news of his close association with RSS should serve as an eye-opener for the government and for the intelligence agencies to be on a tight vigil.

Adv. Ahmad said that reports have popped up about Bajrang Dal leader Balaram Singh and BJP Yuva Morcha IT cell coordinator Dhruv Saxena for passing on strategic information to Pakistan in lieu of commission, following which they were arrested in February 2017. Similarly, an RSS worker for 25 years has moved an application in a special CBI court stating that “several senior right-wing leaders were involved in the Nander bomb blast”. According to the report, a senior VHP leader had told him about a terror training camp that was underway to “carry out blasts across the country.”

SDPI expresses shock over these revelations and urges the government and intelligence agencies to be on high alert.

Will the BJP tolerate the terror and anti-State activities of its sister organisations or will it pass the intolerance test and prove its Desh Bhakti?, asked Adv. Ahmad.
