New Delhi, 23 Dec 2015: Social Democratic Party of India in a statement condemned the mischievous activities by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in the vicinity of Ayodhya as it is bringing stones for the construction of temple. SDPI National General Secretary Elyas Thumbe said the Babri Masjid case is pending in the Supreme Court and there is courts order to maintain the status quo at the site. The leader lamented that the VHP is not bothered to abide by the Court orders showing disrespect to the judiciary. He alleged that the RSS led BJP Government and VHP are all set to make preparations to create a rift in the society by raking up religious sentiments to polarize votes for the upcoming assembly elections in UP in 2017.
The people of this country are now very well aware of vicious communal political agenda of Sangh Parivar and hopefully people will not be provoked to yield political benefits to BJP, said Thumbe.
SDPI demands sacking of tainted minister Arun Jaitley
Responding to the recent controversy regarding PM Modi praising his finance minister while he is accused of his involvement in the DDCA scam, the Social Democratic Party of India-SDPI General Secretary Elyas Muhammad Thumbe has questioned the clean chit given to Arun Jaitley by PM Narendra Modi. He said the Prime Minister Modi praising his fellow minister Arun Jaitley as very clean even though there are accusations against him of involvement in the DDCA Scam. He said this is against the spirit of democracy, if Arun Jaitley continues in the ministry there will be chances of tampering with evidences and could also mislead the probe.
It is to be noted that the Delhi government has appointed a commission to probe DDCA scam in which the Finance Minister is alleged to be involved. And BJP’s own MP Kirti Azad has also presented some hard evidences in a press meet and even in the Parliament. In spite of these accusations, PM Narendra Modi has defended Arun Jaitley by praising him as very clean. The SDPI leader demanded that the tainted minister Arun Jaitly be sacked immediately and all measures be taken by the Central Government to ensure proper cooperation towards the probe.
