Ache Din is in the US
Modiji ka Ache Din is attracting a huge number of Indian citizens to the US. The statistics about asylum seekers to the US from India, presented by the Ministry of External Affairs in the parliament stated that in the last three years, the number of applications for asylum from Indians increased by nearly 855 per cent. It expresses how happy the people in the country are not to live here but to leave it.
The real happiness index! The MEA’s reply to a question asked by MP Kapil Sibal in the Rajya Sabha comes after data indicated that more than 41,000 Indians have applied for asylum in the United States, reported The Tribune. Data from the US Department of Homeland Security Report ‘2023 Asylees Annual Flow Report’, stated that 41,030 Indians had applied for asylum last year.
As reported, the government of India believes that “asylum seekers, while applying for asylum to a foreign government, denigrate the nation and society to obtain personal gains despite the fact that India, being a democratic country, provides avenues for everyone to redress their grievances lawfully.” The government of India, instead of alleging denigration of the country on asylum seekers, should introspect about what leads them to seek asylum in the US.
It is the denigration they experience in the country under the Sangh Parivar rule that prompts them to leave their motherland, which means it is not them denigrating the country, but the rulers who have created a socio-political situation of hate, hatred and violence that the peace-loving people feel denigrated to live. The solution to the problem is not to raise allegations of denigration against the dissatisfied people but to ensure a peaceful atmosphere where people can live decently with dignity.
