After proclaiming the comforting verdict denouncing, and banning bulldozer politics, the Hon’ble Supreme Court issued directions regarding the demolition of properties. The rule of law has been toppled since the sceptre of power came into the hands of the Sangh Parivar, and bulldozing the properties of their betes noires has become the new normal where they are in power.Let’s hope that the rulers will comply with the apex court’s directions leading to an end to this show of might against the hapless citizens. In the meantime, SDPI appeals to the Hon’ble Supreme Court to issue directions to the governments that have already illegally bulldozed scores of properties, to adequately compensate the victims, within a reasonable time.
