The growing ties, especially in weaponry, between India and Israel despite the genocide in Palestine are perturbing and of high concern, stated MK Faizy, the National President of the SDPI. He was referring to the news of Israeli forces using an AI weapons system in Gaza co-produced by an Indian defence company that turns machine guns and assault rifles into computerised killing machines; and the Indian universities deepening research ties with Israeli colleges and weapons companies since the start of the war on Gaza, despite several institutions in the US and UK being forced to rethink exchanges as the death toll spirals in Palestine.Israel has been executing massacres in Palestine for the past 13 months, from bombing schools, refugee camps and hospitals in Gaza. More women and children have been killed by Israeli firepower than in any other conflict over the past 20 years while close to 1,000 entire families have been erased.Faizy demanded that the Indian government should end supplying weapons to Israel and becoming a partner in the brutal genocide on humanitarian grounds and use the ties and diplomatic relations with Israel for a ceasefire in the Middle East.
