The Social Democratic Party of India resolutely denounces Israel’s genocidal assault on Gaza, which has martyred over 50,000 Palestinians and displaced nearly 2 million as of April 7, 2025. The barbaric acts—children dismembered by airstrikes, 15 medics and rescuers gunned down in cold blood, and entire families crushed under collapsed homes—reveal a campaign of deliberate cruelty. Israel’s blockade on food and medicine since March 2, starving a population already on its knees, is a crime against humanity, emboldened by the silence of global powers. We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Palestinian people, whose defiance against this savagery inspires the world, and demand an immediate halt to this slaughter.

The United States, led by Donald Trump’s callous administration, is complicit in this bloodbath, not only arming Israel but also scheming to ethnically cleanse Palestinians through forced displacement to nations like Sudan and Somalia, as discussed in Trump’s April 7 meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu. This imperialist agenda is matched by Microsoft’s shameful profiteering, supplying Israel with AI tools under a $133 million contract that fuels the machinery of death in Gaza. We denounce Microsoft’s duplicity—parading innovation while its technology enables atrocities—and call for a global reckoning against this corporate accomplice. The U.S. and its tech giants must be held accountable for bankrolling and equipping Israel’s war crimes.

We proudly salute Vaniya Agrawal and Ibtihal Aboussad, two courageous tech women who disrupted Microsoft’s 50th anniversary celebration on April 7, 2025, to expose its role in Gaza’s suffering. Vaniya’s piercing cry—“50,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza with technology developed by Microsoft”—and Ibtihal’s bold accusation against Microsoft’s AI weapons resonate as acts of moral bravery. Their resignations from Microsoft are a powerful rebuke of corporate greed, inspiring every Indian to reject complicity in oppression. The SDPI stands firmly with Vaniya and Ibtihal, urging all Indians to amplify their voices and join the fight against the ruthless alliance of Israel, the U.S., and Microsoft, which profits from Palestinian blood.
