SDPI OPPOSES LINKING WELFARE BENEFITS TO VOTER ID
The right to vote and the right to social security are two distinct democratic rights.
No citizen should lose access to ration, pensions, employment, housing or any welfare benefit because their name is missing from the electoral roll.
VOTER ID MUST NEVER BECOME A CONDITION FOR WELFARE.
