SDPI Gujarat Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Social Unity and Constitutional Values

SDPI Gujarat reaffirmed its commitment to actively support constructive initiatives aimed at strengthening social unity, promoting public awareness, and safeguarding the constitutional rights of all citizens during the Loktantrik Vichar Parishad organised by the Gujarat Loktantrik Manch at the Circuit House, Shahibaug, Ahmedabad, on 11 July 2026.

The programme brought together intellectuals, social and political leaders, representatives of the SC, ST, OBC and minority communities, and women from across the state. An SDPI Gujarat delegation, led by State President Mufti Abdullah and State Secretary Abdul Khalid, participated in the event.

The Loktantrik Vichar Parishad was attended by Iqbal Ahmed Mirza, Chairman of Gujarat Loktantrik Manch; M. D. Kheduvora, senior social activist from Gandhinagar; Ambalal Chauhan, retired IPS officer and leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP); Bhanubhai Makwana, retired Judge and State President of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP); Arunkumar S. Sutariya, retired IPS officer; Chhaganbhai Zala, senior social leader; Narendra Sankhalia, social activist; and Rameshbhai Acharya of the Hindustan Awam Morcha (Secular).

The deliberations focused on political awareness, the importance of voting rights, social justice, and the protection of the rights of marginalized communities.

Reiterating its commitment to democratic values and inclusive development, SDPI Gujarat pledged to continue supporting initiatives that promote social harmony, public awareness, and the protection of constitutional rights.
