Sambhal – Intervention of the Hon’ble Supreme Court
Sought Adding insult to injury, the Uttar Pradesh government is in the process of putting the atrocities on the victims, realise compensation from them and whitewash the police in the Sambhal tragedy.
The Sambhal Superintendent of Police, Krishna Kumar Bishnoi, is engaged in twisting the facts and spreading fake stories about the tragedy. Even when footage of the police shooting is viral in media and social media, he says that no lethal arms were used by the police. He is playing the same card the UP police play in the cases of fake encounters in which the victims were alleged to be carrying lethal weapons. But reliable sources said that the mob did not come prepared with stones and threw bricks stacked up in lanes for civil work.The Sambhal District Magistrate, Dr Rajendra Pansia, said damage to government property due to arson and vandalism during the riots is being assessed, and compensation will be imposed on the miscreants and defaulters for the loss.
We seek the intervention of the Hon’ble Supreme Court to prevent sabotaging the case and to ensure punishment for the guilty.
