New Delhi, 25th Aug 2021: MK Faizy, National President of Social Democratic Party of India took strong exception to the union government decision to sell out public sector assets to private parties. The country is being converted to a private limited company by the pseudo-patriotic Hindutva fascists, said Faizy.

Faizy was responding to the announcement of the Rs 6 lakh crore National Monetization Pipeline (NMP) by the union government. The project aims to rise to Rs. 6 lakh crores by selling out the stakes in public sector assets to private parties. About 25 Airports Authority of India (AAI) airports, including ones at Chennai, Bhopal, Varanasi and Vadodara, 40 railway stations, 15 railway stadiums and an unidentified number of railway colonies have been identified to gain private investment.

Though the Finance Minister has declared that the properties are “not sold out,” and its ownership shall continue to be with the government; the hitherto acts of the government of transferring the public sector properties, undertakings and assets to corporate giants of the country doesn’t allow one to believe the words of the FM.

The fascist government has, ever since its ascension to power at the centre, never been concerned about the welfare of the people and the country. Creating division among the people in the name of religion and feeding the crony corporate giants have been the ‘developmental’ activities of the government.

The government has forgotten its role of governance and has turned out to be pukka realtors to the detriment of the nation. The government and its driving force RSS are donning the mask of patriotism and generating money by selling the country. Unless the real patriots wake up and take initiatives to oust the fascists from power, we will be left to live in the private property of Adanis and Ambanis, by paying rent to them, warned Faizy.
