Ignored Intel Triggers Pahalgam Bloodbath; Modi Govt Must Answer

Adv. Sharfuddin Ahmad, National Vice President of the Social Democratic Party of India strongly condemns the Modi regime’s abject failure to prevent the horrific Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, 2025, which claimed 26 innocent lives in Baisaran Valley. Despite a clear intelligence alert days prior, warning of a potential attack on tourists, the BJP-led central government, which controls security and law and order in Jammu and Kashmir, ignored the threat and failed to act. This gross negligence allowed terrorists to strike a vulnerable tourist hub, exposing the regime’s hollow claims of normalcy and security in the region post-Article 370 revocation.

The revelation of the ignored intelligence alert, focused on Srinagar’s outskirts but disregarded for areas like Pahalgam, underscores the Modi government’s incompetence and misplaced priorities. While promoting tourism to project a false narrative of stability, the regime left remote areas under-secured, enabling attackers to exploit operational lapses. This failure is not an isolated incident but a symptom of systemic neglect, with security forces overstretched and intelligence poorly acted upon, leaving civilians to bear the cost of the government’s inaction.
