India has earned the notoriety of being the only country where cows override human lives. The lynching of humans in the name of cow meat that began with the brutal murder of Mohammed Akhlaq almost a decade ago at the beginning of the Sanghi rule at the centre is recurring in various parts of the country without an end. The Hindutva cow vigilantes decide any meat is cow meat and kill human beings in the name of the cow by brutally beating them. In most of such lynching cases, the meat was later confirmed to be not cow meat in laboratory examinations. In the latest case of lynching of a Muslim in the town of Badhra, Haryana in August, by cow vigilantes in the name of cow, the final lab report about the meat samples taken from the shanties in the village of Hansawas Khurd, confirmed that no evidence of cow meat was present. This result, however, will not return the killed, back to life.
