The Social Democratic Party of India held its Tirunelveli Zonal Leaders’ Conclave on August 9, bringing together party office bearers from across the zone. The programme was presided over by Zone President Sikandar Sahul. SDPI National President M.K. Faizy attended the conclave along with National General Secretary Majeed Faizy and National Treasurer Abdul Sattar.

Addressing the gathering, M.K. Faizy stressed the need for strong and sustained political action based on democratic principles to safeguard the rights of marginalised and minority communities, advance social justice, strengthen political representation and ensure social security. Majeed Faizy, Abdul Sattar and Tamil Nadu State President Nellai Mubarak also addressed the gathering. State General Secretaries Nijam Mohaideen and Ahamed Navavi, State Secretary Najma Begum, Women’s Wing State President Fathima Kani, and other zonal, district and wing office bearers participated in the conclave.
