On the International Day to Combat Islamophobia we reflect on a painful reality in our country.
Indian Muslims are facing growing hatred, discrimination and misinformation that threaten dignity, safety and equal citizenship. Islamophobia harms not only Muslims but the values of justice, pluralism and fraternity that form the foundation of India.
We call on citizens, civil society and public leaders to reject hate speech, stand against discrimination and defend the constitutional promise of equality for all.
A peaceful and strong India can only be built when every community lives with dignity, security and mutual respect.
Let us stand together against Islamophobia and uphold the spirit of justice and humanity.
