Veteran leader Motahar Hossain, with over 25 years of experience in the CPI(M), has joined the Social Democratic Party of India at the party’s Central Office in New Delhi. A prominent figure in the legal and political sphere, he has served as the Supreme Court CPI(M) Law Branch Secretary, a member of the Delhi State Committee, and as a leader of the All India Lawyers Union, a frontal organisation of the CPI(M).

He was formally welcomed into the party by SDPI National Acting President Mohammad Shafi. His joining marks an important moment in strengthening the collective struggle for constitutional values, justice, and democratic rights.
