SDPI Demands Immediate Revocation of Unjust MP Suspensions

Yasmin Farooqui, National General Secretary of the Social Democratic Party of India, strongly condemns the suspension of eight Opposition MPs from the Lok Sabha during the ongoing Budget Session. This arbitrary action by the ruling BJP is a blatant assault on democratic principles, stifling dissent and curtailing the voices of elected representatives raising critical national issues, including the controversial India-US trade deal and revelations from General M.M. Naravane’s memoir on the China border crisis.

Such undemocratic measures undermine Parliament’s sanctity, suppress accountability, and erode public trust in governance. We demand the immediate revocation of these suspensions to restore fair debate and uphold constitutional values. The SDPI stands in solidarity with the Opposition and urges all democratic forces to resist this authoritarian trend.
