Defend Federalism and the Plural Idea of India

The NRC expresses grave concern over the continuous dilution of India’s federal structure, constitutionally envisioned as a “Union of States.” The ruling establishment has undermined federal principles, generating regional discontent and violating the pluralistic Idea of India, which was never intended to be unitary or monolithic.
