SDPI Condemns Red Fort Metro Blast, Calls It a Cowardly Attack on Innocents

The Social Democratic Party of India expresses profound shock and grief over the tragic explosion near Red Fort Metro Station, which has claimed at least eight lives and left many others injured. This cowardly attack on innocent civilians in the historic heart of our nation deserves the strongest condemnation from all sections of society. We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of those who are injured.

While investigations are in progress, the intention behind this barbaric act appears evident. It aims to spread fear, disrupt communal harmony, and exploit political divisions. The timing of the incident, coinciding with the Bihar elections and a recent seizure of explosives, raises serious concerns. SDPI calls for restraint and urges everyone to avoid divisive narratives that could intensify tensions and deepen social polarization.

We demand a prompt and independent investigation under judicial supervision to identify and expose the perpetrators and those who support them. Justice must be delivered without prejudice or political influence. The government must strengthen intelligence mechanisms and public safety measures to prevent such tragedies in the future and address the systemic failures that make them possible.
