Mohammad Shafi Condemns Netanyahu’s Rejection of Two-State Solution and Palestinian Expulsion Plan
Mohammad Shafi, National Vice President of the Social Democratic Party of India, unequivocally denounces Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s rejection of the two-state solution and his support for plans to forcibly expel Palestinians from Gaza. His refusal to support Palestinian statehood, reiterated during the Washington meeting, violates international law. His alignment with proposals to relocate 2 million Palestinians, as suggested by U.S. President Donald Trump, constitutes a grave assault on justice.
Israel’s genocidal campaign has killed over 57,000 Palestinians since October 2023, including 1,000 in June–July 2025. Atrocities such as the June 24 Salah al-Din Street airstrike, which killed 20 aid seekers, and the July 4 Khan Younis attack on journalists exacerbate a humanitarian catastrophe. The United Nations reports 613 deaths near aid convoys since May 2025. Israel’s blockade has pushed 1.8 million Palestinians toward famine, with hospitals collapsing under the strain.
Netanyahu’s dismissal of the two-state solution, endorsed by the United Nations and progressive nations, and his support for ethnic cleansing policies violate the Geneva Conventions and undermine peace efforts. The Social Democratic Party of India demands an immediate ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian aid, and a global commitment to a sovereign Palestinian state. We call for accountability for Israel’s war crimes and an end to this genocide. The international community must act to uphold Palestinian rights and enforce a two-state solution for lasting peace
