SDPI Decries Israel’s Unprovoked Attack on Iran

Mohammad Shafi, National Vice President of the Social Democratic Party of India vehemently condemns Israel’s unprovoked airstrikes on Iran, which mark a dangerous escalation in the region. These attacks, targeting Iranian nuclear and military sites and reportedly killing senior officials, including Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, as well as strikes in Lebanon, represent a flagrant violation of international law and the sovereignty of both nations. Such reckless actions jeopardize global peace and risk plunging the region into a catastrophic conflict.

Israel’s military operations, conducted amid diplomatic efforts to negotiate a nuclear agreement, demonstrate a blatant disregard for de-escalation and undermine the prospects for a peaceful resolution.The SDPI stands in solidarity with the Iranian people, who face unjust aggression, and demands an immediate cessation of Israel’s hostilities. We call on the international community to hold Israel accountable for these acts of aggression and to protect Iran’s right to self-defense and sovereignty.
