Indian Election System Must Be Freed from Corruption, Malpractices & Frauds

It is deeply shocking that six Gujarat-based registered but unrecognized political parties amassed around ₹1,701 crores in the 2023–24 fiscal year, with a cumulative income of ₹2,316 crores between 2019 and 2024. The audited accounts submitted to the Election Commission of India (ECI) reveal a glaring mismatch between their electoral performance and the enormous funds they reportedly handled during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

This scandalous accumulation of income strongly suggests a nexus between these parties and the ruling establishment. The credibility of India’s election system has already been under question due to ambiguous SIR processes, unreliable EVMs, and mass exclusion of voters.

The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) demands a high-level judicial inquiry by the Supreme Court to expose the racket behind this fraudulent accumulation of wealth. Furthermore, the Apex Court must guide reforms to ensure that India’s election system is rebuilt on the pillars of reliability, transparency, and integrity. Only through such decisive action can the sanctity of democracy be safeguarded and the people’s faith in free and fair elections restored.
