



Rampur, July 26, 2026: Under the direction of State President Dr. Nizamuddin Khan, an SDPI Uttar Pradesh delegation visited Mohammad Ali Jauhar University and met students protesting the demolition proceedings against the university, extending the party’s full support to their peaceful and democratic movement.
The party demanded an immediate halt to the demolition proceedings and called for a fair and transparent inquiry, ensuring that all concerned parties are given an opportunity to present their case. SDPI stated that any technical or administrative irregularities should be addressed strictly in accordance with the law, without political or personal bias.
It urged the government to safeguard the educational future of thousands of students, adopt a sensitive approach, and ensure cooperation and security for the peaceful protest. While reaffirming the students’ constitutional right to peaceful protest, the party appealed for discipline, non-violence, and the protection of public property.
The delegation comprised Rifaqat Hussain, State Vice President; Dr. Sarwar Ali, State General Secretary; Advocate Masroor Kamal, State Secretary; Rizwan Tyagi, District President, Meerut; and other party office bearers and workers.
