
SDPI Hosts Iftar Get Together in New Delhi, Strengthening Bonds of Unity and Dialogue
The Social Democratic Party of India organized an Iftar Get Together at the Community Centre, Nizamuddin West, New Delhi. Leaders, activists, intellectuals, and representatives from diverse communities gathered at the event, reflecting the spirit of unity, dialogue, and social harmony during the holy month of Ramadan.
The distinguished guests were received by the SDPI national leadership team led by M. K. Faizy, National President of the Social Democratic Party of India. Other leaders present included Mohammad Shafi, Sitaram Khoiwal, Dahlan Baqavi, Mohammad Ashraf, Riyaz Ferangipete, Yasmin Farooqui, Elyas Muhammad Thumbe, Abdul Sathar, Ya Mohideen, Tayeedul Islam, Aatika Sajid, Alphonse Franko, D. S. Bhindra, Sadia Sayeda, and Adv. Renu Singh.
The gathering was also graced by several eminent personalities from different fields. Distinguished guests included Justice Markandeya Katju, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India; John Dayal, Human Rights and Christian political activist, Secretary General of the All India Catholic Union and Member of the National Integration Council; Raghavan Srinivasan, President of Lok Raj Sanghatan (Delhi) and Editor of Ghadar Jari Hai; Mani Shankar Aiyar, former Union Minister of Panchayati Raj and Petroleum and Natural Gas; Sanjay Singh Gurjar, leader of Pichhde Dalit Muslim Minorities Morcha (PDMM); Bhai Tej Singh, President of Ambedkar Sangh; Adv Feroze, President All India Muslim Majlis e Mushavarat
,Majid Deobandi, senior journalist and poet and Dr. Javed, grandson of Param Vir Chakra awardee Abdul Hamid.
Speakers appreciated the initiative of SDPI in bringing together leaders and representatives from various social and political backgrounds on a common platform. They emphasized that such gatherings strengthen dialogue, democratic engagement, and mutual respect among communities.
The Iftar gathering concluded with prayers and interactions among participants, reinforcing the spirit of fraternity, cooperation, and collective commitment towards justice, equality, and the constitutional values of the nation.
