SUSPENSION OF MPS IS AN ACT OF FRUSTRATION OF THE RULING BJP TO STIFLE THE VOICE OF THE OPPOSITION

New Delhi, 29th Nov 2021: Social Democratic Party of India, National President M.K. Faizy has condemned the suspension of 12 Rajya  Sabha MPs  from the parliament’s winter session for their protest on the last day of the previous Monsoon Session.  This is nothing but an act of frustration of the ruling BJP to stifle the voice of the opposition in the Parliament and also a move against the principles of democracy.

The Opposition MPs were protesting against passing of General Insurance Business (Nationalization) Amendment Bill without referring it to select committee. They demanded discussions on the Pegasus Spyware Issue also.  However, the ruling BJP was arrogant and egotistic to heed to the demands and protests of the opposition. Though both issues raised by the opposition were very serious in nature that categorically undermined the values of democracy, the ruling BJP didn’t consider a bit of it.

Faizy called upon the opposition parties to unitedly oppose the undemocratic and egotistic move of the Union Government and defeat all efforts of BJP to destroy the democracy.
