STATEMENT OF UNION MINISTER PRAKASH JAVEDKAR ON RAM TEMPLE IS MALICIOUS

New Delhi, 28th Jan 2021: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) takes strong exception to the statement of Union Minister Prakash Javedekar relating to Babri Masjid on 24th of January, 2021. The statement is blatantly false and misleading. His claim that the temple was built demolishing a Hindu temple is unfounded and imaginary, and is in contradiction with the Supreme Court finding that no temple was demolished to construct the mosque. The temerity, and the feeling of impunity with which the Minister made the statement that a “historical blunder” was corrected by the temple construction, itself mocks the findings and views of the apex court that criminal acts were committed at the midnight of 22/23 of December 1949 when the idol were stealthily and illegally put inside Babri Masjid and on 6th December, 1992 when Babri Masjid was demolished by the RSS goons. The utter disregard towards the highest judicial institution by the Union Minister is a matter of concern for the entire country and a challenge to the entire administration of justice in the country creating a situation of failure of the constitutional system of India.Such irresponsible statements by a minister at the centre gives impetus to the anarchic and terrorist drives by the Sangh Parivar hooligans in the name of fund collection for Ram Temple construction, by dividing the society on communal lines. SDPI strongly demands that the leaders, especially the ministers who are the ministers of the country, not the ministers of Sangh Parivar, to abstain from making statements which are against their oath of office and that would further deepen the communal divide and hatred between the communities.Issued ByAdv Sharfuddin AhmedNational Vice President3,350People reached238EngagementsBoost Post
