SDPI WRITES LETTER TO SECULAR PARTIES TO SUPPORT MAMATA BANERJEE’S APPEAL TO UNITE AGAINST COMMUNAL BJP

New Delhi, 5th April 2021: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) welcomed the move of TMC Chief Mamatha Banerjee who wrote letters to political parties to unite against communal BJP for saving democracy and federal structure of the country. SDPI strongly believes that uniting all secular parties against communal BJP is inevitable to save the country’s secularism, pluralism, federalism and democracy. SDPI has written letters to all secular parties to support the appeal of Mamatha Banerjee to unite against BJP to defeat and end communal and fascist rule in the country, said SDPI National President M.K. Faizy. It is very much evident that the BJP is running dictatorial rule in the country and deny democratic and constitutional rights. The BJP ministers, leaders and Sanghi leaders are spreading hate and instigating violence in the name of religions for capturing political power. This divides and rule policy and strategy of the BJP has inflicted heavy damages to the integrity and pluralistic structure of the country. India is, now identified as ‘partly democratic’ and ‘elected autocratic’ country by the International organisations. Our nation is on the brink of devastation as every aspect like downfall of economy, massive unemployment, denial of rights, huge violation of human rights, meticulous misuse of agencies, imposition of draconian laws, dictatorial governance, etc pushed the country into a failed nation. Faizy urged all secular political parties to unite now to save the Constitution, democracy and federalism of the country by keeping aside all the differences and hesitations as requested by Ms. Banarjee
