31 December 2016, Bengaluru: People in India are seen extending unprecedented support to the new political parties alternative to Congress-BJP.  The poverty is at peak due to the anti-people policies of the two parties, said Party’s Karnataka State President Abdul Hannan, during his presidential address in a 2-day event State Representative Council held in the state capital today, which was inaugurated with party’s flag hoisting by its national general secretary Afsar Pasha.

Hannan said, it’s all thanks to the proficiency of my fellow office bearers’ activeness which brought our party to the present state. Pro-people agitations conducted by the leaders of different districts have morally empowered me and this shows that we are ahead in taking up issues of the common man, agitate to demand for their solutions and actively participate in electoral politics.

Present day society is in a dire necessity of political parties like ours with proper vision and ideology. The Congress and other opposition parties have miserably failed to take on the Modi led BJP government at the Centre who took for granted the people of India, made them all stand in queues at banks by playing the drama of corruption eradication and development, betraying by using the slogan ‘Ache Din’. The people of Karnataka were hopeful from the Ahinda leader Chief Minister Siddaramaiah but now we se that no any considerable development is seen in the Ahinda and minority communities, due to the government’s utter negligence. When the CM is eager to build the steel bridge, why can’t he think of developing the minorities? We have successfully organized a state-wide 1-day hunger strike and urged the government to allot enough budget for the development minorities in the state and our struggle for the rights continued. It is our responsibility to effectively take up the issues of the people, agitate for so as to find solutions to the problem people are facing and ensure that they get justice, said Hannan.

State General Secretary Abdul Lateef presented party’s activity report for the year and advocated open discussions encouraging them about party’s aim to launch pro-people movement with the support of progressive organizations so as to work for the rights of common people including that of dalits, farmers, kannadigas, adivasis and labours.

The program took place in the presence of party’s national general secretary Afsar Pasha. State Secretary Akram Hasan welcomed guests including state working committee members and party representatives from districts across the state. Party’s national vice president Prof. Naznin Begum, National Working Committee Member Dr. Mehboob Shariff, State Vice President Devanooru Puttananjaiah, State General Secretary Abdul Majeed K, Social Democratic Trade Union State President Abdul Jaleel K, Women India Movement State leader Muhammadi were among the prominent guests who participated in the program.
