SDPI extended support to the ongoing struggle of poor for land and residential rights

Bengaluru: A delegation led by Party State President Abdul Hannan comprising office bearers and members of State Working Committee extended support to the ongoing sit-in dharna held at Freedom Park, Bengaluru.
The protest demonstration has been continuing at the Freedom Park for several days by the Action Committee for Land and Residential Rights led by eminent activist H. Doreswamy.
SDPI Karnataka State President Abdul Hannan pledged to support the Action Committee’s struggle till their demands are met by the state government.
It is to be noted that a few days ago, SDPi’s state working committee had resolved to back the said agitation, which is being organized to provide residential and land rights for poor.
Abdul Hannan urged the State Government to heed to the demands of the poor and warned it of massive protests if the requests are not listened to.
Those participated in the protest were BBMP Corporator Mujahid Pasha, State Secretaries Akram Hasan, Riyaz Farantipete, Afsar Kodlipet, Fayaz Ahmed and other leaders and party cadres.
