Bangalore: Nafeesa Thabassum Bangalore has been elected as convener of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) Karnataka womens wing.
Sameena Malar from Mangalore has been elected as state vice convener of women’s wing. An adhoc committee consisting eleven women was also formed at a meeting held in Bangalore.
Karnataka state general secretary Abdul Hannan, national committee member Sakib, National Representative Committee member Razaq Kemmara, state vice president Hanif Khan, state secretary Sheikh Siraj, state secretary Akram Hasan were present at the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion newly elected president Nafeesa Thabassum said that district committees will be formed within six months in all district. With that women’s wing will start its work acively. welcoming 50% reservation in local bodey elections, she said SDPI womens wing will prepare women candidates to field in elections. SDPI is a good platform for the fight for the rights of women and their empowerment.
Many women cadres of SDPI had participated in the program and they placed their advises before the party. Lubna Siraj delivered vote of thanks.
