SDPI observed Social Justice Day on 14 April 2017

New Delhi 14 April 2017: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) National Vice President Adv. Sharfuddin Ahamad in his address to the gathering at Parliament Street today said, Its all thanks to the restless efforts carried out by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar that the Dalits and OBCs are able to raise their voice for the rights which the Constitution guarantees us. He said, Dr. Ambedkar not only authored the Constitution of India along with his colleagues, but was also played a key role in introducing several pro-people Acts after the India attained freedom from British. It is surely with the unbiased outlook of Dr. Ambedkar that today our sisters, belonging to different religions and castes are able to exercise their right of vote in the elections in India, said Sharfuddin Ahmed.

On the occasion of the birthday of Dr. Ambedkar, Social Democratic Party of India observes Social Justice Day across the country every year. This program was organized jointly with other social organizations Kalam Se and Mookvakta at Parliament Street in the national capital.

BAMCEF leader Moolchand in his address stressed on the need of strong bonding with Muslims, not only in social life but also in political domain. The unity of both the communities and united efforts can only bring out a change in the society.

Rights activist and editor of Kalam Se, Manoj Kumar also addressed the gathering and called upon Dalits and Muslims to join hands to defeat the Manuvadi system in the governance.

Heads of other organizations and a number of SDPI cadres and members participated in the program.

Adv. Sharfuddin ahamad said, SDPI has been observing Social Justice Day on the occasion of the birthday of Dr. Ambedkar since the formation of our party. He said the Day is observed across the country by several state working committees of the party, jointly with other socio-political organizations led by Dalits, Backward Classes and OBCs, commemorating the numerous and valuable contributions of Dr. Ambedkar.
