Justice Deepak Mishra Shall Quit Himself to Uphold the Sanctity of Judiciary: SDPI

New Delhi, 12 January 2018: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) national president A. Sayeed, while expressing shock over the revelations from the four top most senior Supreme Court judges today in an unprecedented press meet complaining against Chief Justice of India, Deepak Misra, said, “Democracy in India is in danger and the people have to unite to save the nation”. He said, the Supreme Court being a paradigm, pioneer and pinnacle body of the judiciary is in bedlam as the ‘rebel’ senior most judges allege that ‘things are not in order in the administration of the supreme court’.

Sayeed said, the judiciary of the nation must be impartial, transparent and independent. Biased, prejudiced and vested indulgence in the judiciary will not only damage the democracy of our nation but also its integrity and inclusive nature.  The five serious allegations on Supreme Court by the senior judges like unsystematically passing the orders, unruly assigning of cases, etc. are the clear signals to the country that the time has come to act and save the judiciary vis-à-vis democracy.

He said, the mysterious death case of CBI Judge B.H. Loya who took over the CBI’s case of murder against BJP president Amit Shah, has raised several questions implying serious doubts in many angles. In this context, the stunning rebellion against the Chief Justice by the four judges is really a matter of concern.  Sayeed said, SDPI expresses its full support to the cause of strengthening democracy and supports every act of protests against all kinds of injustice, corruption, communal and anti-constitutional designs.
