Come Out of Home, with Free Hands and Mind and take over the mission of Self-Protection – A SAYEED at Jama Masjid New Delhi SDPI’s in Anti-Lynching Campaign’s Mega Program

New Delhi, 26 August 2017: Today Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) organized Street Demonstrations across the country, in all assembly constituencies and districts of 14 states condeming the heinous brutal lynchings of innocent Muslims and Dalits by the so called gau-rakshaks. The cow-vigilantism which gained momentum since the BJP took over the reigns of power at the Centre and the Modi’s mere statements and silence of the state governments headed by BJP have only encouraged the cow-vigilantes spread their terror with all impunity.

It is to be noted that the SDPI President A Sayeed had announced the national campaign from 1 to 25 August 2017 on 1st of August at Jaipur. And since the day the party leaderships in 13 states have been organizing massive rallies, public meetings, get-togethers, corner meetings, poster pasting and flyer distribution.

SDPI’s street demosntrations have been organized with the slogan COME OUT OF HOME. Leadership of party in different states has scheduled massive human chains and street demonstration in all districts of all the states that the party has presence in. The party cadres carried placards with the slogan “People’s Solidarity to Resist and Save the Nation from becoming Lynch Rashtra”, on to the main streets of the taluks, towns, cities and metros. The street demonstrations have been witnessed nationwide in the noon hours.

SDPI National President A Sayeed addressed the large gathering at the historic Jama Masjid in New Delhi. In his address, the Party President A Sayeed has urged Muslims and Dalits that their security is in their own hands and they must be conscious of it. Sayeed said “Muslims and Daliths must perceive themselves that their security is now in their own hands.They have to come out with free hands and free mind to take over the mission of self-protection. Nobody else will come to protect them. They have to identify their leaders on the parameters of this struggle for saving life, rights and dignity.

Party National Vice President in his address to the gathering at Jama Masjid said, SDPI’s Campaign Resist Lynching India has created a great deal of enthusiasm among the people and has succeeded in enlightening them with their fundamental rights as enshrimed in the Constitution of India. This campaign in other wards has made governmetns aware of the ongoing plight of law and order in the country.

The prominent dignitaries who graced the demonstration at Jama Masjid in Delhi were SDPI Vice President, National General Secretaries Elyas Thumbe, Muhammad Shafi, rights activists Ravi Nair, D.C Kapil, Srinivasan Raghavan of Lokraj Sangathan and others.

The SDPI leadership conducted massive rallies, street demonstrations and human chains in 13 states across India, including states Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The party’s cadres visited door-to-door, organized corner meetings and exerted efforts to involve common people to raise voice against the atrocious patnic spread in the society due to the terror dispersed widely by the cow-vigilantes (gau-rakshaks).

On the concluding day of the People’s Campaign, the party leadership submitted thousands of signatures signed in an Online Petition with the Chief Justice of India (CJI) appealing the authority to direct the government to take measures to curb the dreadful cow vigilantism which is destroying our society.
